Each book is divided into several sections that introduce sight reading in a simple and fun way. It starts out with rhythm clapping that will ensure success early on.
DouDou method splits the same note into 2 components and different ways to express a complete musical phrase. One will start with not keyboard playing, but only clap the rhythm of the melody line. That’s no staff line will associate with the notes. Then one will read and sing, again without the playing on any instruments. Then, lastly, student will play on the keyboard or any instruments.
Before this process, student will go through a series of ear training:
-By-Ear clapping, student will clap back what ever the teacher clapped. This will enhance the student sense for the rhythm.
-By-Ear singing, student will sing after the teacher sang. This will enhance the student’s sense for the rhythm and the pitch.
-By-Ear playing, student will play back the phrase that the teacher played. This will enhance the complete sense for student of rhythm, pitch and playing with out reading the music.
